My Bedclothes makes bed linen from natural fibres, designed in Britain and made at our mill in northern Portugal, where a small team of cutters, sewers and finishers has been working with fine cotton for generations.

Why we exist.

Bedding used to be a cherished gift, crafted to order or given on special occasions like weddings. It was loved, repaired, and repurposed. Until the mid-1800s, worn-out bedding was even turned into paper. At My Bedclothes, we respect this history. Our mission is to restore the true meaning of bedding.

We believe in creating products that last, just like traditional bedclothes. In a world of fast fashion, we commit to quality products that reduce the need for constant replacement and help lessen landfill waste.

How we work.

Every fabric is chosen against clear requirements. It begins with samples that meet our standards. We test each sample for months. We sleep on them, wash them, and observe how they behave, alongside formal mill testing.

Northern Portugal.

My Bedclothes is made at our mill in northern Portugal, a region with a long tradition of weaving fine cotton. A small team of cutters, sewers and finishers, trusted for decades, completes the work. Every set is inspected by hand before it leaves.

Ten years.

We make bed linen we expect you to still be sleeping on in ten years. So we warrant it for ten. The warranty covers manufacturing faults in seams, stitching and hems, for ten years from purchase. We repair before we replace wherever we can.

From Tara.

I wanted bedding that wasn't made in bulk, that worked year-round. It needed to breathe in summer and keep warmth in winter. It should soften with washing instead of wearing out. I wanted it made by people who know the fabric, not a factory producing thirty colours at once. I couldn't find it, so I made it.
